On September 2, 2016, at 4:50 pm, the complainant, a 59 year-old female, exited a Septa bus at Broad Street and Ridge Avenue and was waiting for the traffic light to change to cross the street. While at the light an unknown male, who exited a dark colored newer model Dodge Grand Caravan, snatched her bag containing clothing from her hand. When the complainant turned around the suspect punched her in her face then pushed her to the ground. While on the ground the suspect took her pocketbook containing an iPhone, eye glasses, identification, bank cards, keys, and $112 then fled and was seen west on Fairmount Avenue where he entered the passenger side of the same vehicle then left the area and was last seen turning right onto 16th Street. The complainant suffered a bruise on the right side of her face during this incident.
Suspect Description: Black male, 20 years-of-age, 5’7", medium build, short hair, clean shaven, wearing a green camouflage cap, white t-shirt with a gray design on front, dark colored shorts, and New Balance sneakers.
